Sempra buys Shell wind farm

Sempra Generation is paying an undisclosed sum to acquire Hawaii-based Auwahi Wind Energy from the Royal Dutch Shell subsidiary Shell WindEnergy. Auwahi is developing a 22MW wind farm on the Ulupalakua Ranch in south easterm Maui.
SAPP to be implemented in November

The Southern African Power Pool (SAPP) will start implementing a cross-border power trading system in November, largely based on the successful Nord Pool, operating in the Nordic region, the world’s largest power derivatives exchange.
