Nguyen Van Hai, Deputy Director of the group, said that the price adjustment was for the group’s reinvestment activities. According to Hai, the group is investing in five new coal mines with an estimated capacity of 1.5-2 million tonnes per year at an expected investment capital between $100-130 million each.

According to the group’s forecast, Vietnam will have to import coal for the next three years and the group has set up a special team to prepare for import activities in the future.
