EU to invest €50 billion in energy technology

The European Union will invest an additional €50 billion (about $75 billion) in energy technology, according to information from the two-day EU Strategic Energy Technology Plan conference, which began in Stockholm, Sweden, on October 21st.

Sempra buys Shell wind farm

Sempra Generation is paying an undisclosed sum to acquire Hawaii-based Auwahi Wind Energy from the Royal Dutch Shell subsidiary Shell WindEnergy. Auwahi is developing a 22MW wind farm on the Ulupalakua Ranch in south easterm Maui.
