Alstom has secured a contract with Saudi Arabia to supply four 720 MW steam turbine generator sets for the Shuqaiq project, following its selection by lead contractor Hyundai Heavy Industries. The contract is worth approximately €170 million, and the Shuqaiq oil-fired plant is due to enter commercial operation in 2017.
