Analysts and industry insiders have raised fresh doubts about a £24.5 billion plan by the UK Government to build the first of several new nuclear plants, with one saying that the project will be an “expensive mistake”.
State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC has begun preliminary construction work on a new 2000 km, 800 kV ultra-high voltage (UHV) direct current (DC) transmission project. This is the first UHV transmission project that the SGCC has won overseas, marking a milestone in Chinese efforts to develop its UHV technologies overseas.
