Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Power , will develop 100 MW of solar PV projects in Uttar Pradesh, India. The company has commissioned two solar projects, each of 50 MW capacity, in the Pravagraj and Banda regions.
TPREL said that the facilities will have the capacity to generate over 221.26 GWh annually, and will reduce carbon emissions by 177 billion tonnes a year.

The solar facility at Pravagraj has nearly 160 000 solar modules. TPREL has installed 16 inverters and over 103 km of DC cable for the project. The Banda solar facility involves 167 440 solar modules on 236 acres, with 16 inverters.
