T&T Group and Vinacom Investment and Trading Company have signed a memorandum of agreement for the development and operation of the 495 MW Savan 2 wind power project in Savannakhet province, Laos. The project is valued at about $750 million.

T&T Group developed the 300 MW Savan 1 site, which started commercial operation in December 2025, which has supplied 0.9 TWh annually across the border to Vietnam.

T&T Group said that Savan 2 will benefit from the foundation provided by Savan 1 in terms of experience, implementation techniques, infrastructure, and the specially-built 70 km transmission system connecting to Vietnam via the 220 kV Lao Bao substation.

Savan 2 is scheduled to start commercial operation by December 2028.
