Siemens and Hangzhou Steam Turbine Company (HTC) have secured a long-term service programme (LTP) order from Kunshan GCL Blue Sky Distributed Energy Company, a subsidiary of Golden Concord Power Group (GCL). Siemens and HTC will provide service and maintenance for two Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines located at the Kunshun GCL Blue Sky distributed energy project located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, China. The LTP covers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, spare parts, technical support, remote diagnosis, project management, and a series of performance guarantees for the gas turbines. This is Siemens’ first industrial gas turbine LTP order in China.
Thorbjoern Fors, CEO of Siemens Power Generation Services, Distributed Generation, said: “Securing our first industrial gas turbine LTP order in China is a significant milestone. It provides an opportunity to further drive our localisation strategy by offering more flexible service solutions to our customers in China, and to support the fast-growing Chinese distributed energy market.”
Siemens is providing the Kunshan GCL Blue Sky distributed energy project with two SGT-800 gas turbines and generators; HTC is supplying steam turbines as well as auxiliary systems. The first unit is expected to be put into operation in September 2017. Siemens’ project management team will provide remote analysis and diagnosis of operating data of the gas turbines to help the customer ensure the most stable operation. The company’s spare parts and tooling warehouse in China can provide fast response when needed to help keep the units operating at optimal performance levels.
