Siddiqsons plan $110 million investment in Pakistan solar power generation

Siddiqsons Limited plans to set up two solar power plants, each of 50 MW, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, with a total investment of $110 million. It has formed Siddiqsons Mowshera Solar Limited and Siddiqsons Kohat Solar Limited, and these have applied for generation licenses for the solar power plants with the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority.

Both projects are scheduled to start commercial operations in the first quarter of 2020, and are expected to have an operational life of 25 years. Both of the projects will sell the generated electricity to the Central Power Purchasing Agency.

Siddiqsons Group has a cumulative capacity of over 600 MW of renewable energy projects, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Kashmir.
