Japan’s Kansai Electric Power Company has announced that its 1180 MW No 4 reactor at its Ohi nuclear power plant has resumed supplying electricity to the grid. This is Japan’s second nuclear unit to resume power since the shutdown of nuclear units in the wake of the Fukushima crisis.
The unit resumed supply of power to the grid three days after it was restarted, The reactor is scheduled to begin full capacity power generation around July 25-28.
