Sweden’s Triventus Wind Power and Norway’s Havgul Clean Energy have announced that they will merge to combine their 1.6 GW portfolio and jointly develop further renewable projects across Finland, Norway and Sweden.
The joint portfolio is estimated to be worth some €3.2 billion ($3.48 billion) and includes Norwegian-based projects like Havguls 350 MW Havsul 1 offshore development and the Tonstad onshore wind project (200 MW).
Havgul will itself develop seven wind projects with a combined capacity of 504 MW in Sweden, 865 MW in Norway and three in Finland.
Triventus has previously developed 124 MW of projects that it sold on before the construction phase.
SgurrEnergy, the Glasgow-based renewable energy provider, helped facilitate the merger. Financial details of the deal were not released.
