Transpetro, a subsidiary of Petrobras , has announced a tender to acquire a photovoltaic solar panel for the Coari Terminal in the Amazonas state of Brazil. The company said it plans to install a generation plant with a capacity of 500 kW.

World Future Energy Summit 2027 (WFES 2027)

The Coari Terminal is located in the Amazon rainforest and is key for the outflow of oil and gas produced by Petrobras in the region. The Coari Terminal is not connected to the power grid.

Implementation of the solar generation plant is scheduled to be completed in H1 2027.

The initiative is part of Transpetro’s sustainability agenda, with the expansion of the use of renewable sources and the decarbonisation of its operations.
