Renewable energy has become a central part of the UK's electricity system, accounting for more than half of electricity generation in 2025, according to government figures . However, increasing renewable generation is only one part of the challenge. Delivering Net Zero will also depend on building the infrastructure, confidence and risk management frameworks needed to support new technologies at scale.
