Meralco is inviting power generation companies to submit their expressions of interest by 6 Jan 2026. A pre-bid conference will take place on 15 January, 2026, while the bid submission deadline is 16 February, 2026. The CSP will result in a four-year power supply agreement, subject to approval by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Jose Ronald V Valles, Senior Vice President and Head of Regulatory Management with Meralco, said: “The procurement reflects the company’s commitment to clean energy and transparent sourcing. This CSP is consistent with Meralco’s ongoing efforts to expand its supply portfolio sourced from renewable energy sources while securing Meralco’s RPS compliance through a competitive and transparent bidding process.”
