Matrix Renewables , the Spanish developer, has won €47 million in non-recourse project financing from Banco Sabadell to support construction of a 50 MW solar power plant in Seville, Spain.
The plant will be built in the municipality of La Rinconada. The plant is scheduled to be operational in Q1 2024.
Nicolas Navas, CFO of Matrix Renewables, said: “This is yet another important step for Matrix Renewables in consolidating its strong pipeline and portfolio across Europe. We feel very proud to add this project to the existing €1.4 billion we have financed since our inception in September 2000.”
In addition, in August, Matrix Renewables acquired a controlling interest in the 200 MW Pleasant Valley solar power plant in Ada County, Idaho, USA from rPlus Energies . The power generated from the project will be transmitted to the Idaho power grid.
