Marubeni expands North American portfolio

Marubeni Corp. said this week that it has acquired a 90 per cent interest in a wind power project in Solano County, California run by EDF Renewable Energy Inc., a US arm of French utility Electricite de France (EDF). Marubeni did not disclose details of the acquisition.

The 102.5 MW project began commercial operation in December 2012 and is the Japanese firm’s third wind power project in North America, adding to a projects in Ontario, Canada, and Minnesota, USA.
