JSW Energy said that this is one of India’s fastest-built greenfield hydropower projects, and power dispatch to Haryana has already started. The second 80 MW unit has been synchronised with the grid and is currently undergoing trial runs. The final unit is scheduled to be synchronised shortly.

The Kutehr project has a 35-year PPA with the Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC) for the whole 240 MW, set as a levelized ceiling tariff of Rs 4.50/kWh (€0.045/kWh), with options for extension. The electricity generated will supply Haryana’s state distribution utilities.
