Indian hydro power generation will not benefit from a good monsoon season

India’s total hydro-electric generation remained at 12.23 billion units, the same figure from the previous August for this renewable source.

This leaves hydro with a less than 20 per cent share of total power generation, despite the good monsoon season and high reservoir levels compared with last August.
