Iberdrola awarded Ingeteam contracts worth €25 million for work on BESS. These installations will be linked to renewable energy projects in Spain, to provide greater flexibility to the system.

Ormazabal was awarded a €5 million contract to design, manufacture, and supply two mobile substations. These will be used to improve the operational capacity of the electrical grid and can serve as temporary support during maintenance work, infrastructure incidents, or exceptional demand situations. These units will enable Iberdrola to use mobile teams capable over taking over temporary functions while work is being carried out on permanent installations.

Iberdrola said that these contracts will contribute to improving the resilience of the electricity grid. The transformation of the electricity system requires greater coordination between renewable generation, storage, and grid infrastructure.
