Hitachi Energy and Alinta Energy have entered into a three-year outage agreement focused on outage planning, maintenance, and asset lifecycle management.
Alinta Energy operates three major power stations across Australia, each of which is equipped with Hitachi Energy generator circuit breakers. These plants are the 464 MW open-cycle gas-fired Braemar plant in central western Queensland, the 392 MW Wagerup natural gas-fired plant that supplies peaking power and system support services to the South West Interconnected System in Western Australia, and the 285 MW gas-fired Pinjarra power station and cogeneration plant located at Alcoa’s Pinjarra refinery in Western Australia.
Under the terms of the agreement, Hitachi Energy will provide a structured framework for outage planning and execution, including condition assessments, equipment overhauls, upgrades, strategic spare parts management, and the replacement of generator circuit breakers and transformer bushings.
