South Korea’s Hanwha Power has signed an MOU with Canadian infrastructure company Pembina Pipeline to collaborate on green power generation projects.
Under the terms of the agreement, Hanwha Power will explore applying waste heat recovery power generation systems to Pembina’s pipeline compressor stations and gas infrastructure facilities. Hanwha Power’s waste heat recovery power generation system is a next-generation technology that uses carbon dioxide in a supercritical state.
Michael Sicker, head of Hanwha Power America, said: “This cooperation marks a meaningful starting point for expanding our eco-friendly energy solutions business in the Canadian market. By combining the technologies of both companies, we will contribute not only to mutual growth with local industries, but also to the creation of long-term business value.”
The partnership is also intended to support Hanwha Ocean’s bid for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP).
