GE Vernova to invest $5 million in Fierro Service Centre in Spain

GE Vernova ’s Gas Power business will invest over $5 million in new technology and increased services capabilities at the Fierro Service Centre in Andoian, Spain to meet the growing need for services maintenance for ageing gas power plants.

The investment will add a second line for generator stator bar manufacturing and include new equipment to cover the complete process from incoming copper to the finished bar product, including:

• Stator bar forming equipment.
• Insulation taping 3D robot.
• Hot press.

The investment is intended to expand the capacity of the Fierro Service Centre to help repair GE Vernova’s F-Class generators. The shop flow will be improved while adding 30 new jobs. In addition, the site will expand generator stator winding manufacturing capabilities with the target to deliver double the current annual capacity of generator stator bars.
