GE Capital’s Energy Financial Services and E energija reached financial close last week with SEB Bank , part of the Swedish financial group Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken on a project financing package for the wind farm, which is underpinned by a 10-year PPA with Eesti Energia , an Estonian state-owned utility company. This represents the largest bilateral PPA in the renewables sector in the region to date.

Initial civil and electrical work began in July 2020, and the first turbine delivery of GE’s Cypress platform is expected in April 2021. The project is scheduled to start commercial operation by the end of 2021.
