GE completes 1400 MW gas turbine units’ maintenance in Iraq

GE Gas Power has announced that it has completed the maintenance work, including major overhauls, on two gas turbines at Khor Al Zubair power plant in Iraq. These two turbines have a total capacity of 200 MW.

GE has also completed the servicing of a 100 MW gas turbine unit at Shatt Al Basra power plant, and has serviced and upgraded a total capacity of 1400 MW at sites across Iraq so far this year. Key projects included Al Khairat power plant, where maintenance work on six gas turbines with a total capacity of 600 MW was carried out. GE upgraded two gas turbines at Al Quds power plant, and it completed an Advanced Gas Path (AGP upgrade on gas turbines at Nineveh power plant, improving output, efficiency, and availability while reducing fuel consumption.
