The Waaree Enphase AC module (ACM) was chosen for its “ability to generate solar power in low-light, diffused light, or shaded conditions, maximising its energy harvest in the dusty local conditions.”

The plant site will cover 18 acres, and it will be powered by 13,235 solar modules. The system is expected to supply 7500 MWh annually.

David Ranhoff, Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer with Enphase Energy, said: “This 4.5 MW power plant installation represents Enphase’s entry into India’s utility-scale PV segment. This is a truly exciting opportunity for Enphase as it furthers our expansion into India.”

The EPC contractor, Diwakar Soltec, based in Hosapet, is due to commission the site in July 2018.
