Atomenergomash , a division of Energoatom, is undergoing a qualification process to manufacture top and bottom nozzles for Westinghouse fuel.

In addition, the companies have agreed to increase the number of AP1000 plants that will be developed from five to nine units, the first of which will be built at the Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant. Westinghouse will establish a centre in Ukraine to support construction of the planned AP1000 reactor projects, as well as Energoatom’s current operating fleet and future decommissioning programme.
