GoGas will develop the CCGT plant, which will use gas from the offshore Banda-Tevet Gas Field, 55 km offshore Nouakchott in southwestern Mauritania.

The first simple cycle phase of the plant is scheduled to begin generating electricity by the end of 2028, with an initial capacity of 200 MW. The second combined cycle phase will increase total capacity to 365 MW and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2029.

The project is the first of its kind in Mauritania. No details have been given on the cost of the project.
