EDF has announced that it is temporarily shutting down three nuclear reactors located along riverbanks due to the extreme heat.

The reactors being temporarily shut down are:

Golfesh 2 on the Garonne river.

Bugey 3 on the Rhône river.

Shuzi 2 on the Meuse river.

EDF also confirmed that a number of reactor units would be operating at reduced output, including Saint Alban 1 and 2 on the banks of the Rhône, Blaye 1 and 3 on the banks of the Gironde, Bugey 4 and 5, Chugy 1, and Tricastin 3, all on the banks of the Rhône.
