EDF Renewable Energy and Otter Tail Power Co. have signed an asset purchase agreement by which EDF RE will construct the 150 MW Merricourt Wind Project. On completion, the wind project will be turned over to Otter Tail Power. Closure of the transaction is subject to conditions.

Mirricourt Wind Project, located near Edgeley, North Dakota, USA, will consist of 75 Vestas V110-2 MW wind turbines. The wind turbines are scheduled to be manufactured in Vestas’ Colorado-based facilities. The project is due to enter commercial operation in 2019.
