Doosan Enerbility has won contracts to supply key equipment for two large-scale gas combined cycle power projects underway in Saudi Arabia.
It will supply steam turbines and generators for the Ghazlan 2 Expansion and the Hajar Expansion gas-fired power plants, both located in the eastern region of Saudi Arabia. The total value of these agreements is approximately €220 million.
The contracts were signed with a joint EPC consortium formed by Spain’s Técnicas Reunidas and Egypt’s Orascom .
Both power plants will have a capacity of 2900 MW, and are scheduled for phased completion by 2028. Doosan Enerbility will supply a total of four steam turbines and generators – two 650 MW units and two 540 MW units.
