Energy firm Dalkia has signed an agreement to buy two Hungarian combined heat and power plants from German utility E.On by the end of next year for an undisclosed sum.

The purchase will raise Dalkia’s Hungarian power generation capacity by 760 MW and heat-generation capacity by 160 MW.

E.On said it is streamlining its Hungarian portfolio to focus on corporate customers, operating its nationwide supply network, and developing alternative energy.
