The Spanish company Ingeteam has finished commissioning work on a 30 MW solar farm with a battery energy storage system (BESS) on Hawaii, USA.
The Hale Kuawehi project, developed by Canada’s Innergex Renewable Energy , combines 30 MW solar PV with a 120 MWh BESS.
Ingeteam supplied 11 fully integrated inverter stations for the project, connecting the solar array and battery system in an all-in-one solution designed for rapid deployment.
The Hale Kuawehi plant is now operational, generating electricity for Hawaii Electric Light Company , which has a 25-year PPA with Innergex for the output of the plant.
