Mr Khattak was addressing a delegation from Chinese energy company Cinotec, and signed a memorandum of understanding under which the Chinese company will install 25 hydroelectric power units along the Swat River.

These units will have a total generating capacity of 500 MW once they are operational and fully integrated into the provincial grid in four years.
