China connected 9 new concentrating solar power (CSP) plants in 2025. These plants had a total installed capacity of 900 MW, bringing the total of CSP capacity in China to 1738.2 MW.
By the end of 2025, Gansu Province had the largest cumulative installed capacity at 621 MW, followed by Qinghai Province (510 MW) and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (450 MW).
Qinghai Province leads in under-construction projects, with 1350 MW under construction, followed by Xinjiang (1050 MW) and Tibet Autonomous Region (250 MW).
