Aboitiz Renewables connects 92.5 MW solar plant to Luzon grid, Philippines

Aboitiz Renewables, the renewable energy arm of Aboitiz Power , has added 92.5 MW of new solar capacity at San Manuel to the Luzon grid in the Philippines, strengthening the country’s electricity supply and helping the energy transition to green energy supply as power demand in the country rises.

The plant was built in coordination with the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines , local government units, and host communities.

Daniel Aboitiz, President and CEO of Aboitiz Power, said: “As demand for electricity continues to grow, power generation investments like San Manuel help strengthen our energy system, diversify our energy mix, and support the Philippines’ long-term energy strategy.”
