White House convinces investors to commit $4 billion to renewable energy

Brian Deese, White House senior adviser, said: “We've seen a really overwhelming response,” and also noted that the US Government would allow further access to federal information and would grant technical assistance.

To accompany this, the Energy Department announced that it would launch a Clean Energy Impact Investment Centre to allow more efficient development of other financial packages for clean energy.

US Energy Secretary, Ernest Moniz, said: “The idea is to make the department’s resources... including of course our 17 national laboratories... more readily accessible to the public, including the mission driven investors.”
