Following the UK announcement that it is planning to build eight new nuclear power plants by 2050, the UK and South Korea are in talks regarding nuclear power plant construction.
The UK plans for nuclear power to supply 25 per cent of its power supply by 2050. Nuclear power currently supplies 18 per cent, and some older nuclear power plants are scheduled to be shut down within six years.
At present, EDF is the only participant in the UK’s new nuclear power plant construction projects.
