Hussain Al Nowais, Chairman of Amea Power , has announced at the Cop28 climate conference that Amea Power has signed a new agreement to develop wind power in Ethiopia.

Amea Power will develop a $600 million 300 MW wind farm in Ethiopia, and is in talks with the African Development Bank , the International Finance Corporation , and the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development to finance the project.

The wind power project will be built in Aysha, 120 km from the port of Djibouti.
