Iran’s Thermal Power Plant Holding (TPPH) has announced plans to construct 10 new combined cycle units with a total capacity of 1752 MW by June 2022. Hamidreza Azimi, Deputy Managing Director for Planning Affairs with TPPH, said that the inauguration of these units would increase the country’s generation capacity and boost the average efficiency of the country’s thermal power plants. He said: “When these units become operational, about 2.5 billion cubic metres of fuel will be saved annually.”
The new units are being constructed in Jahrom, Harris, Orumiyeh, Chabahar, Dalahu, Sabalan, Ferdosi, and Assaluyeh power plants.
