The UK utility SSE has announced that it is selling a 49.9 per cent stake in the 350 MW Clyde wind farm in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, for £355 million. SSE has been shedding non-core assets, including existing or in-development onshore wind farms, as part of a plan aimed at reducing its debt by £1 billion.
This follows a trend of European energy companies, including EnBW, RWE, and E.ON selling stakes in wind farms to infrastructure investors.
