Sri Lanka experienced an island-wide power outage for several hours on 9th December after a system failure in one of the main transmission lines.

The Sri Lanka Ministry of Power and Energy said in a statement: “Step by step restorations are underway, and it may take a few hours to completely restore the power supply.”
