Martin Tartibi, Global Head of SGT-A45 Mobile Unit for Siemens Energy, said: “Siemens has decades of experience in the development of gas turbine technology. We continue to innovate to address the changing needs of the market, and the SGT-A45 is a solution that meets the need for fast power.”

The Bayat Power 1 programme was announced last year by Bayat Power and the Afghanistan Government. The programme calls for a three-phase, $250 million IPP investment programme.

Siemens’ SGT-A45 aeroderivative gas turbine generates up to 44 MW, and is designed to provide immediate power to the grid. The SGT-A45 is packaged for rapid deployment, and can be installed in less than two weeks.
