Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) has been awarded the 242 MW Scioto Ridge onshore wind project by Innogy Renewables US, a subsidiary of German-based energy company Innogy. The contract includes the supply of 63 SG 3.4-132 and 9 SG 2.6-114 wind turbines for the Scioto Ridge project that will be located in Hardin and Logan countries, Ohio, USA.
The order also includes a 10-year service and maintenance agreement, with advanced diagnostics and digital capabilities. Commissioning of the project is scheduled for autumn 2020.
The SG 3.4-132 components will be manufactured at SGRE’s blade manufacturing facility in Fort Madison, Iowa, and the nacelle and hub assembly facility in Hutchinson, Kansas.
