Siemens Gamesa signs 1044 MW offshore wind power deal in Taiwan

Siemens Gamesa and Hai Long Offshore Wind Project signed Turbine Supply Agreements and Service and Availability Agreements for the Hai Long 2A (300 MW), Hai Long 2B (232 MW), and Hai Long 3 (512 MW) offshore wind farms. This represents Siemens Gamesa’s largest offshore wind power signing in Taiwan to date.

Siemens Gamesa will deploy 73 SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbines. A 15-year service contract is included, with an option to extend it to 20 years. Siemens Gamesa will provide offshore logistics and the O&M service facilities for all three projects.

Hai Long has granted Limited Notice to Proceed with the signing of the Turbine Supply Agreement. Issuance of the Full Notice to Proceed is expected in 2023.

The SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbines will be installed 50 km off the coast of Changhua County. Each turbine will have a 14 MW capacity and feature a rotor diameter of 222 metres.
