The Majes and Reparticion solar power plants, which are connected to Peru’s national power grid, have a combined capacity of 44.32 MW and are located in Arequipa, Peru. They have two 20-year fixed-price power purchase agreements guaranteed by the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
SCA has also announced that it will strengthen its collaboration with Spain-based Isolux through electricity and infrastructure projects in the Americas.
SCA currently owns power generation projects in Mexico and the Caribbean, while also developing liquefied natural gas projects in Asia.
Peru is expected to increase its renewable power generation capacity to close to 1000 MW by the end of 2030.
