The agreement is for 150 MW of new geothermal baseload power to support Meta’s data centre growth. The first phase of this project will aim to be online and operating in 2027.

Sage will use its proprietary Geopressured Geothermal System (GGS) to provide carbon-free power to Meta’s data centres. This technology was validated in the field in early 2022.
