Whilst still subject to regulatory approval and a shareholder vote, the transaction is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The Smarter E Europe 2024

The agreement includes a “go-shop” clause, which allows Talen to shop around for a better deal for the next 40 days. The deal includes a termination fee of $50 million, which Talen would pay Riverstone if the deal is terminated for a better proposal.
