All signs indicate that a nuclear power station will be built in Pomerania region, according to Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
“All signs indicate clearly that the location [of the nuclear power station] here in Pomerania seems optimal,” Tusk said.
The locality of Zarnowiec in Pomerania, northern Poland, was identified as the best location for the nuclear power plant in a government report.
The first nuclear power station block in Poland is planned to be launched in 2022. Polska Grupa Energetyczna plans to build two nuclear power stations of the capacity of some 3000 MW each.
