Pakistan’s National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has reduced the Return On Equity (ROE) of units 2, 3, and 4 of Chashma Nuclear Power Plant. Nepra said that it cut the ROE by $0.0016 per unit, which will result in an annual saving of around $13 million for the remaining life of the units, estimated at 25-37 years. The three units have a net capacity of 931 MW.
The Chashma plant is located at Chashman, Tehsil Piplan, Mianwali district in Pakistan, and units 2-4 each have an initial rating of 340 MW.
