The Nigerian Federal Government has reopened discussions with the preferred bidders for three of the 10 power plants built under the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) and supervised by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC). The three power plants are the 634 MW Calabar plant in Cross River state, the 506 MW Geregu plant in Kogi state, and the 512 MW Omotosho plant in Ondo state.
The Federal Government said that when the deal for these three power plants is successfully concluded, two more plants will be privatised, until the entire tranche of 10 plants is privatised.
